BOTANICAL WORLD OF BAKU
An incredibly exciting excursion for naturalists, true lovers of nature’s blessing awaits you. Accompanied by our guide, you will go to the Botanical Garden, located on the outskirts of Baku. You will acquainted with oasis among the stone “desert” of the huge city, where you can enjoy the quietness and breathe fresh air, wander through the alleyways among the rarest trees. The Botanical Garden has a greenhouse intended for citrus plants, a plot of land, a forest park, several swimming pools, a laboratory water regime and administrative building.Here you can find about 1000 plant species are kept in enclosed places and about 1200 species – in open. In the Botanical Garden as a whole, more than 2,000 species of flora spread in Azerbaijan, about 120 species of rare endangered plants, included in the Red Book of the Caucasian flora species, have been collected. There is a rich collection of deciduous plants and evergreen trees – cypresses, pines, olives, thickets of strawberries, raspberries, dogrose. What is interesting is that many people, on their own initiative, plant flowers and trees here. In the Botanical Garden there is another attractive corner specially dedicated to various flowers: tulips, daffodils, carnations, etc.Here grow more than 550 varieties of Rosa L., represented in various garden collections. In practical and collectible areas of the garden, as a result of selection, more than 800 hybrid forms of roses and more than 3,500 of their reproductions reproduced by the vegetative method have been collected. Tourists will be able to relax by sitting on a bench near a picturesque pool with goldfish and water lilies. The indescribable pleasure of silence, the quiet splash of goldfish, the exquisite aroma of plants and the singing of birds create an amazing atmosphere for a full rest in this amazing corner of the local flora.
